CIA - Certified Internal Auditor is the world renowned certification for internal auditors. The CIA certificate helps you broaden your knowledge on internal controls and other operational issues, such as Risk Assessment, Governance, IT, Finance, and Accounting. CIA is awarded by the Institute of Internal Auditors-IIA, USA. www.theiia.org It is decidedly in demand in the Gulf Job market and it also carries lucrative salary package.

ELIGIBITY CRITERIA TO GET REGISTERED FOR CIA

• You must be a Bachelors Degree holder from an accredited college or University, or
  
• You must be a member of any professional accounting body like, ICAP, ICAEW, ACCA, ICAI etc.
  
  
CIA COURSE

• CIA is a course consisting of four parts
  
• Part I: The Internal Audit Activity’s Role in Governance, Risk, and Control
  
• Part II: Conducting the Internal Audit Engagement
  
• Part III: Business Analysis and Information Technology
  
• Part IV: Business Management Skills (exempt for the specified (complete/partial) professional qualifications)
  
• 40 hours coaching is required for each part
  
• You can complete CIA within 6 to 8 months
  
• You have to complete the CIA program within 4 years of the application approval
  
  
CIA EXAMINATION

• Exam for each part of CIA consists of 100 MCQs to be taken in 165 minutes time duration
  
• Candidates can take exam any day throughout the year
  
• CIA exams are conducted online through Computer Based Test Administration Center – Pearson VUE www.pearsonvue.com

• Initial registration fee AED 300
  
• Tuition fee per part AED 2,500

• IIA membership fee (Dubai Chapter) AED 300 per annum
  
• Application fee $ 75 one time ($100 for non-members)
  
• Examination fee $ 150 per part ($200 for non-members)
